In the spirit of giant man-made structures I thought I would post a link to the Crazy Horse Memorial.

The Crazy Horse Memorial is a mountain monument in the Black Hills of South Dakota, in the form of Crazy Horse, an Oglala Lakota warrior, riding a horse and pointing into the distance.

Ziggurat

Environmental design firm timelinks have released plans for a new carbon neutral city of the future in Dubai Ziggurat. Inspired by the ancient Ziggurats the futuristic pyramid structure spans over an area of 2.3sq km and will be able to known as ’sustain a community of up to 1 million. Complexes within the city will take up less than 10 % of the original land surface, also providing an area for agriculture. the city will be entirely self sufficient as power will be supplied through steam, wind turbines and natural energy resources. Transport will operate horizontally and vertically through a 360 degree network eliminating the need for cars.
